Number Base Converters
12 conversion pages for number bases, each with its exact factor, the formula and a reference table.
The Number Base Converters collection covers 12 pages of number bases — one page for each ordered pair of units, so there is nothing to configure before you get an answer.
Conversions are split one per direction rather than collapsed into a single dual-dropdown tool. It means “Binary to Decimal” lands on a page about exactly that, with the right examples and the right reference table, instead of a generic converter you have to set up before it tells you anything.
Because a conversion is only as good as its factor, every page names the factor it applies and where the definition comes from. That matters more than it sounds: US and imperial gallons differ by a fifth, there are three separate horsepowers still in use, and a US ton is not a tonne.
This collection reaches across binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal. Sitting in Unit Converters, it links back to the sibling collections that share its units, so a chain of conversions never needs a second tab.
