Effective date: July 16, 2026. By using Quirkulator you agree to these terms. They are short, sensible, and written by people rather than a template — please actually read them.

1. What Quirkulator is (and is not)

Quirkulator provides free, interactive calculators for educational, reflective and entertainment purposes. Our models are built on published research and honest mathematics, but they are not medical, psychological, financial, legal, structural-engineering, dietary or relationship advice, and no result creates a professional relationship of any kind. A ghosting probability cannot read minds; an underpricing deficit is not financial counsel; the anatomical tools report geometry, not health; and even our genuinely useful beam-deflection estimates assume textbook conditions your actual shelf may not meet.

2. When to consult a professional instead

If a result touches something genuinely worrying — persistent low mood or exhaustion, relationship distress, unexpected body changes, a structure bearing real loads, or any decision with meaningful consequences — consult a qualified professional. Our calculators are designed to start good thinking, never to finish it.

3. Accuracy and availability

We work hard to keep the underlying math sound, publish every formula for scrutiny, and correct errors quickly when reported. Nevertheless, the service is provided "as is" and "as available": we make no warranty that any result is accurate, complete, or applicable to your situation, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: scrape or crawl the site at rates that degrade it for others; attempt to breach, probe or overload the service; misrepresent Quirkulator results as professional certifications, medical assessments or legal determinations; or use the site in violation of applicable law. Personal, classroom and editorial use — including quoting and sharing results with attribution — is warmly encouraged.

5. Intellectual property

The site's design, text, formulas-as-expressed, and code are owned by Quirkulator or its licensors. You may quote reasonable excerpts with attribution and a link. The underlying scientific concepts belong, as they should, to everyone.

6. Third-party links and ads

Pages may contain links to third-party sites and may display third-party advertising. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third parties; their terms govern your use of their services.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quirkulator and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages — including decisions made, arguments lost, relationships recalibrated, shelves collapsed, breakfasts ruined or novels still unwritten — arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use Quirkulator, which is zero.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; changes take effect when posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
